Primer cracking



  Petrol Blue 182.
rubbed down a set of wheels (not down to bear metal) and when i primerd them it started reacting with the old paint, will I have to strip them back to bear metal?

the word is bare not bear.

yea sand it all down back to the metal and dust your primer on very lightly so it dont react again. also if youre using a hot air gun, dont warm it up too much

Yeah it will always react and bubble mate. Totally strip it back.

if your still having problems try using some acid etch primer as its design to work on bare metal

all sorted now mate. had to stip them down and turbines are the most fidliest wheels ive ever touched!
