*******problem help*****



ok ive done somthing sooooo stupid...

i went out the other day was rather tired and not thinking and i connected the positive lead to the negative terminal of the battery. Now the car wont start...its not the battery......what have i done, where can i get it fixed and how much? please help me PLEASE!!!!!!

Hang on... First thing to check are all your fuses.

They are located on the passengers dash when you open the door. Also check the fuses under the bonet where the battery is (they are under a cover).

Failing that, new ECU lol
 
it wouldnt blow a fuse as its not taking more current than it should. plus there are no fuses on the earth side of things. IMO they should fit diodes inline to protect the ecu from such spikes.

It will have taken a fuse out, shorting to earth will draw alot and take out a main fuse. Sure you will be fine mate..just check the fuse box;)

wont start or everything electrical is completely dead? if the loom hasnt melted or the ecu fried then id look at the alternator
