Problem help!!

ok so i was driving the car down the motorway then came to a roundabout.. the car started revving high and a light came on the dashboard(like a heartbeat signal) then when i pressed the throttle nothing happened.. had to get a recovery truck to come get me.?? anyone have a clue whats up with it?? thanks

Probably a problem with either the throttle pot or the throttle body its self

well its somethin electrical is causing it to shut down.... any ideas like a sensor or anythin??
