Problem with my air con

If I start the car it's a 2002 clio 172 and have the ac on it works perfect but during a drive or after a drive if I turn it on it blows nothing but hot air what is the problem any help is much appreciate

do you have climate if so there is a panel by the driverside foot vent under that cover there is a cog and it goes in to a hole to turn it between hot or cold its very common that the plastic hole cracks and widens so it wont switch between easy to fix just put a cable tie over or i used a jubilee clip but on here there is a big thread about it with pictures and instructions on how to fix very easy to do yourself
