Problem with the first start of the engine 1.2 16V

Hello,

The car sometimes, but not always, starts hard after a few hours of standing. Sometimes the engine starts normally, and sometimes it struggles. After the first start, it starts immediately without any problems. (Always start the engine, only sometimes like in the video)

This appeared to me after replacing the coil, cables, spark plugs and other parts at a major service, but I don't know if it's just a coincidence... Also, the mechanic saw nothing during the diagnostic.

Hi there, I have been chasing the exact same problem as you for months now! Did you manage to solve it in the mean time? And if so what was it?

Looking at your video it sounds EXACTLY the same as mine. I have a Clio mk3 2007 with the same engine.



I've tried all kinds of testing and diagnostics, but couldn't find anything else then P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor fault. According to Haynes manual this sensor is involved in calculating the air fuel mixture, but this doesn't sound logical to me.

For the rest replaced plugs, coil, TDC sensor, fuel pump, and injectors, but problem persists.
