Problems with router and wifi

I have a £50 netgear n series router which I got about 6 months ago... As my basic o2 router wouldn't allow me to connect online to certain games.

My iPhone constantly drops outta the wifi network and takes an age to watch anything on YouTube etc....

My laptop and ps3 work fine though so cant understand why my iPhone drops signal!

I've looked online and seen this router which had great reviews ... What do you think ?

Think I found a fix online actually changing my iPhone to a static address and changing the DNS to 208.67.222.222 seems to be working so far
