Procedure for insurance cancellation?

I'm with insure2drive but have seen a considerably cheaper quote for Direct Line. I'm only half way through my current policy and pay by monthly instalments costing 80 per month. So if I want to cancel will I have to pay 80 x 6 months or just a simple cancellation fee e.g. 45 quid?

There will be a cancellation fee only, they call it an 'admin' fee normally. Fly f*****s.

Tell them you sold the car so no longer need insurance, it avoids the agro.

admin my f*****g @rse! Their cancellation fee is £45 so will that be all I need to pay instead of the 80 times the remaining months?

You need to ring them and ask, it really depends on the company.

Some may take a couple of months payment, some an admin fee, some nothing at all.
