program to delete duplicate photos

basically i donno how it ended up but my mac is full of duplicate photos, mostly of my son and i dont dare try and delete then incase i delete something that could be lost forever. is there a program available (mac) that can delete duplicates of photos by scanning the pictures coz i think some of them have different names .

I have tried a couple, but none does what I need it to.

Firm Tools Duplicate Photo Finder did some of the job for me, in that it finds duplicate jpg's and lets you choose which ones to delete.

I need one to identify duplicate RAW and JPG files, I went through a phase (a year) of shooting both RAW and JPG so could really do with tidying up the mess. Now I just shoot RAW or else I loose around 50MB a photo!
