Program to scan PC??

What programs do you guys use that scans your motherboard etc?

I used to have one that told you everything IE RAM make etc

Think the one I used to have was called PC wizard or something now thinking about it.

Next question my ram has packed up and I require some PC2 5300 ddr2.

Any recommendations for manufacturer etc??

Crucial or Kingston imo. Although doesn't matter too much with that spec of RAM, its ancient.

www.crucial.com run the tool on there, will point you in the right direction.

Any of the major brands will be fine. OCZ, Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, Geil. Even then most of the modules are usually made by Samsung or someone else. So makes sod all difference.

If you aren't buying performance memory, just buy what you can afford. Corsair Value is cheap and good enough. Use the value stuff in my macbook, although I run the XMS3 stuff in my main gaming system.
