PS2 Online Config

Have a Linksys Wireless IG providing access to my PC and was thinking about hooking hte old PS2 up. The PS is within a meter or so of the PC and I wondered if anyone has experience of wacking a straight Cat5 cable from the NA on the PS into the NIC on their PC, allowing PC to perform a switch function, XP does this nice for other netword devices, and access via the Wireless card....

Long winded I know, I don't want to trail cables over the house.

Been trying to do it for the last 2 days. Supposed to be dead easy but I can't get the fooking thing to work no matter what I do.

Should be a simple matter of using a crossover cable from the PS2 NA to the NIC in the PC. Hardware bit's fine - it's configuring ICS that doesn't seem to work.

Can't seem to get the IP address for the NIC to work as I want it either.
