I'm thinking of investing in a 360.

Having never played one before as i'm to lazy to go the the shops, Is the picture quality ,gaming etc a massive difference of just a little better??

Thanks for the advice;)

massive. its definately worth the step up. If you have a HD TV the graphics are even better.

I lost interest in playing games on my PS2, and since i got my 360, I have restarted my interest in gaming. I absolutely love it again, 360 is great online too.

make sure you invest in a COOLER KING otherwise if you play for more than 8hours at a time the thing will cook itself. 360s are well known for overheating all my mates have had thiers go down (which is ok when the thing is still in warranty) microsoft did a poor job of cooling the processor the flipping idiots! besides that its perfect, make sure you get an xboxlive account but i'm sure after your initial introduction to it you'll br falling over youself to sign up for another year!

So far I've never had a problem with cooling the 360, it maybe all depends where you have it kept. So long as it's not locked away in a closed unit then it should be ok. I'd imagine the majority of 360 owners do not have any additional equipment for cooling and this does not cause any bad outcome.

The difference (on some games I saw) between the PS2 and the first Xbox were pretty big, let alone the 360!

If you have a HD screen then it's a significant upgrade:approve:

gears of war is simply outstanding.. looks amazing on a hd tv with the lights out.. whats your gamer tag matE?

mines totally ventilated an i know of three others that have gone down with similer defects, anyways the warning is there boys. unfortunately for me i had a hacked xbox360 so the warranty was screwed cuz you need to take the back off to get access to change the firmware. I completed 40 games for free on it an had LOST PLANET just before xmas an did it in to days......i know face the task of sending it away for the price of £60 for some dude to mend it or try it myself with an online guide. If all fails i'l just buy a new one and do the same again! LOL...... and its a hardware problem i got not a firmware or sodtware problem so its not the hack that caused it b4 anyone gets on my case. error code 0102 i think.i'm just trying to pass on some advice cuz sending the thing off to microsoft takes a long long time, and knowone should be without thier BOX

if you played 40 games without paying for them then you probably deserved to have it break on you and have to buy another one if you can't fix it, thats a lot of money you've denied them.

Also, I find it hard to believe you have completed 40 games, whats your gamer tag so I can check it out please, i'm interested to see where i'm going wrong.

I think its only the early 360's that have cooling issues, my 360 gets raped for longer than 8 hours on Vegas, Gears and such like.

So far have had a couple of crashes on Vegas but it has never been mega hot or anything like that.

Its the earlier versions that have the overheating issues, MS now use a better thermal compund and solder.

I have mine flashed, and if you have a Samsung drive, should you get 3 RRoD I can restore it back to its original state, oh and I have a few warranty stickers ;)

Get a 360, its good enough to justify paying £45 a game!
