Can you connect a ps3 or an xbox to play on a laptop screen?

If so what do I need?

well no as laptops dont have video inputs usually

laptops dont have video inputs (well not your pc world types)

it may very well have a dvi connector but it wont be an input


its much easier to just buy a tft monitor

Yes you can quite easily. Go to your local GAME and buya 360 vga av cable, job done.
You could play 360 or ps3 on a laptop but as Mcbunny said only if the laptop has video input, and not many do. Usually whel they do it is only s-video input and to my knowledge there is no cable for either console with that connection.

straight into your monitor, my friend uses his pc tft so he can run in 720p
