PS3, out of range problem

I have just bought a PS3 and wired it up to the tv etc, it worked first time but not there is sound coming out but no picture, the screen just says "out of range".

It is a preowned ps3 so could it be a faulty wire or something?

Any help would be appreciated


Sorry fogot to say the tv is an acoustic solutions tv from argos

Try holding down the power buton until it beeps twice (I think), resets all the video settings to default.

Take it is through HDMI?

Aye. It forces the PS3 to detect what visual's you are running.
