PS3 turning on by itself

As above title, was just on the pc and the ps3 just turned on by itself behind me, the joy pad was on the floor next to it

i turned on my pc like 45 mins ago and 2 mins later the ps3 turned on

i might know why, my nephew had his remote down stairs, he was in and might of pressed the button on it
