PS3's which one to get?

Ok i said i would never buy one but, i have just got a 40" Bravia W series and want bluray action, my parents have a 80gb one and i either 'acquire' that or:

1: Buy them a new bluray player

Or

2: Buy a PS3 slim for me for both bluray and gaming/internet

So which one is best, ive seen prices of bluray players and there the same as a new ps3, ive seen Sainsburys selling 120gb with 2 top games for £250, would that be best.

Is it worth loading mac osx on the ps3 whats the benefits will it run Ableton?

oh and before the forza crew come along ive just picked up the new one

Buy a Slim with a couple of games. It's a better size and IMO is quieter running than the full fat model.

You cannot install a separate OS onto the Slim, the original model supported Linux.
