Question about polishes.

  Shed.
Been using super resin polish for the best part of a year now.

Whats polish for, i mean, ive been looking through cleanyourcar and they all seem to be for differrent uses, mainly scratch removal. Is that what theyre for ?

I was under the impression that srp was there to give the car a coat of somehitng to A protect it (to a certain extent) and then B to make it look nicer. Not remove scratches or anything. Anyways ill be out of Srp by the spring so im not sure what to try next.

While were on this subject. What polish can i try next and will it work well with EGP ????

thanks

SRP is very mild in abrasives, fills more defects than it removes but prepares the surface perfectly for the EGP to bond to, and does lay down some protection of it's own.

To remove swirls and minor scratches you will need a more abrasive polish to use before the SRP, working by hand it will be hard work and your options are limited.

Yeah come summer ill buy a G220 as the car suffered over the winter and my 1 bucket method.

When i get a G220 ill buy a set so ive got everything i need. Shoul i stick with srp in the mean time ??

Could use the Carlack Hand polish bundle or Megs Scratch X but if your getting a Random Orbital you may as well wait and just machine it.

As Rich said. I used the g220 and got awesome results, i used the Menz Intensive polish which is more abrasive but still used the SRP mainly for the EGP to bond to, got fantastic results. :D

Yep def guna have to get a g220 lol. When i bought the car it was almost mint with a few scratches, now its got a fair few hairline scratches ie. random orbital swirling like rich said. Could also be due top the fact ive been using microfibre mitts since i bought it.
