quick 360 3 red lights question

My 360 had kicked the bucket and i was wondering if i can take it back to the shop rather than sending it off.
I have the recept and its under a year old.
If i get a new 1 from the shop wont it have the hdmi support?

Nah you'll need to send it back to MS if it's after 28 days.

dont think you do if its less than 12 months old. The warranty is the responsability of the shop for the first 12 months.

Nah it can be offloaded to direct support at the manufacturer's discretion. It speeds things up. Just speak to MS, the shop won't give you a new one and yours will just sit there for a while until some spotty kid gets shouted at for the second time for ignoring it.

Took mine into HMV after I got the 3 red lights. Had to console for around 8 months previous. HMV just went into the back got a new one swapped my hard drive to the new one and thats was it sent me back with new 360 with all my old saves etc.

New one has been much better and much quieter though.

Dont wanna wait weeks for mine to come back.

PC World did exactly the same with mine!!

Had mine replaced 3 times since last December directly from Gamestation for same problem. Just tell them youve phoned Microsoft and they said return it as its under 12 months old. And my latest one is the Version 2 with HDMI, and a new 3 year warranty with Microsoft.


Ps. F**K sending it off to Microsoft for them to have it for 2 to 3 months then send you a reconditioned one back!

Agreed, my next door neighbour has had quite a few problems, he does play silly amount of hours on it though. he has has 3 in the past 12 months all from where he bought them from, think it was HMW too or maybe GAME.

I dont play much tbh and rarely for longer than an hour at a time.
My mate got a new V2 from micro tosh when he sent his back for the same reason
