Quick bit of advice

Ill try and cut this short as I can lol.....

Girlfriend bought a brand new clio 1.2 16v dynamique, collected in on the 1st of september so we had the new 54 plate! :)

Kept hearing a little clicking sound at slow speeds, which after investigation by the dealer turned out to be both left side locking wheel nuts had nut been tightened and just fell out after we took the center cap off.

After a few letters to and from them, all they have said is sorry basically. Were still trying to get them to PDI the car again, so we know nothing else was missed!

Anyway, got another couple of problems now. One being the drivers door doesnt sit striaght and needs lifting to close, and the gear stick moves when changing gear. I know theres not a lot they can do about that as the mounts they use are too weak, but hey....its another thing we can moan about!

So, my girlfriends mum is getting pissed off with the dealers being quite crap (and is now sending a letter to Renault UK to complain) and the g/f is getting annoyed with Renault build quality.

Just want to know really how difficult it would be to reject the car. We never would, but I just like the idea of threatening them with it. Might get them to pull their fingers out a bit...... Just dont want it to backfire and them to go try it lol!

Any help, thanks

You have to give them reasonable time to fix the problems really, before you can reject.

I think they recommend 3 tries. Id be persistent. Park it in front of their workshop entrance and leave it there.

Also be rather vociferous in the showroom about the problems. If you have or know anyone with a loud dog and/or kids take them along. (dose the kids up on sugar beforehand)

Theyll soon sort it out then.

My 1.216v came with a big scratch down the bottom of it and the drivers door didnt hang properly, they thought i wouldnt notice!
