Quick iso related favour

If anyone is taking their stereo out for any reason could you take a photo of what wires go where into the iso blocks?

Id be very grateful, thanks

  Skoda Fabia vRS

whats actually happened ?

you can buy an ISO plug from Motor World for £5.99 which has bare wires coming out of it, each one clearly labelled

Some other device was used, presumably some kind of cb radio and the iso blocks have been cut off.

I will get a set of blocks like youve mentioned but I dont know which wires to solder together.

cheers for that mate, much appreciated.

I also have a small yellow block, looks the same as the ones that plug into blaupunkts, any idea what that is for? There is also a yellow socket that it plugs in to with the wires cut on that too

No not that one, but I needed that one too thanks!

I mean this one - http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/preamp.asphttp://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/preamp.asp

But instead of it having the preouts it just goes into the loom with the rest of the wires.

The other connection I see; say that yellow plug was the male adaptor then picture the female(black one) on this http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/idc_cable.asphttp://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/idc_cable.asp but instead it is yellow and was just left in the car.

to be honest, that plug dosent look familiar, there is another plug, for the steering column volume control, but its different to that, i never took a pic of that cus i cant use it with my current head unit. unless you want to use the steering column control thingy, i dont think youll need those wires.

Thanks for your help with this.

I just went out however and some of the colours on mine are different, wer those photos from the latest shape clio?

Thats the plug that goes to the remote display and stalk control. The other end is connected behind the clock/hud.

Thanks, though thats strange as I do not have a display above the vents. Maybe it can control the sony cd player that came with it, the instructions were with my documentation.

I have done the power controls now, the speakers are proving more difficult. is there a crossover somewhere in the door or dash?

  silver valver/hybrid

yeah, i think there may be a x-over, behind the dash somewhere, because there are only 4 sets of wires, and 6 speakers! i couldnt tell u exactly where it is though!

Then my drivers side front door speaker must be blown. Ive got sound coming out of the dash speaker but not the door.

  Polo + Micra

nah i think it is just a bi-polar cap at the tweeter which is in parallel with the door speaker.

could try the speaker on a hoime hifi??
