quick question

I have copied some cd's onto itunes but when i play the song on my phone the cover art doesnt appear, why is this and is there a way i can get it to appear.

i copied a legit cd bought from a shop etc, does that matter, i have also copied some copied cds on there so how can i get the cover art for those songs

Does the cover art appear on iTunes? If not try highlighting the songs, right click, get album artwork. sometimes they just don't have it so go to google and find it then add it to the get info of the tracks.

If you have a lot there are programs that will do it, just google for some, not bothered doing it although I may soon, quite a lot empty ones
