Quick Video

A mate and myself built a home made gliderail the other day, so had a quick play with it to see what sort of results it produced, quickly made this video in iMovie so I know it's not great but it was more of a test than anything else.

Thought some of you may be interested.

Bit shakey at points, but otherwise pretty cool! Any pics of the gliderail?

Gliderail looks proper smooth mate! How did you make it?! I'm desperate to get back into doing video stuff!

I don't actually have any mate, yeah it is a bit but think I've got that sussed.

Two ball bearing drawer runners with a QR tripod head on it. I'll get some pics up tonight.

If you find it shakes in post production dude, I've always found putting a quick 10% crop then back to raw footage not only distracts away from the vibration, but looks cool too.

Look forward to seeing pics!

I was trying to think of something like that, but didn't have my IS lens on either.

Good work mate! I want to see the glider.

Did you convert it and then add the stabalizing option in iMovie? It's pretty good.

Nope not touched any of the options in iMovie, I'll get some pics of the glider later. £15 budget FTW.

Impressive sexy mouf. Little jittery but impressive for cost and post production!

Only tip I have is when cutting try and cut in when the camera is already moving instead of stationary.

I would normally, just being lazy and not wanting to edit much. Was using the 2secs either side for cut off rule.

I tried using an old skateboard and several pieces of wood at the weekend. Failed badly.
