Quickie: Does anyone know the cost per mile of an RS?

As title really, just wondering what the cost per mile to run an RS is in pence, I'm curious as I'm trying to work out whether its really worth me using my car for work at the rate of mileage I get (around 42p / mile but presumably with tax taken off also).

Haven't got a clue how to work it all out (probably like yourself), but I'm gettin about 35mpg at the mo. Thats combined (a roads and b roads).

According to it, the cost is 37p per mile. Thats less than I thought it would be to be honest, although whether it accounts for depreciation is another question.

I'm still not convinced my mileage covers the running cost of the car though. I guess thats something I would have to sit down and work out.

Well i've sat and very roughly worked it out and it seems about right (including depreciation).

I have an autocar magazine which had a test of loads of hatches and the cost per mile for the 172 was about 40p (cant remember the exact figure)
