Only a 2lt 16v arent they so a lot of work would be needed for 190bhp id think. I know theres the 1.8T GTi and a 2lt but its a confusing model the Ibiza so im too. Prob the Turbo that can be chipped up to that sort of figure but thought they were newer?
The "GTi" used the 150bhp 2.0 16v from the Golf Mk3 GTi 16v. This car has stats similar to the Clio 16v - mid 7s to 60 and 130mph top whack.
The Cupra editions use variants of the VAG Groups 5-cylinder 1.8 20v Turbo unit (in various states of tune from 150bhp to 180bhp). I would have thought that this would have been the unit that could be chipped to 190bhp. The 180bhp version had a 0-60 in the low 7s and a top whack of 140mph. Very much 172 territory, but the Cup would probably pip a standard one.
There is, as yet, no performance version of the latest Ibiza (unless you count the 130bhp TDi).
