Hi all,
I followed the guide to install RS Monitor to my Clio 220 Trophy last night and all went quite well until I tried to map my pedals. It just kept saying “put car into Sport mode to map pedals”. I put the car into Sport and Race mode but it would not activate. All the other settings work fine when putting it into Sport and the edges turn red etc. Didn’t think much of it and took it for a spin. When I put the car into Sport mode, the pedal became so responsive that with a light tap of the accelerator, it was wheel spinning. Took it on the motorway and put my foot down. The car took off quicker than before and I got up to 80mph and a burning smell started. I immediately came out of sport mode, slowed down and babied it home and the smell went away. This morning I did a factory reset and I can now adjust the pedal map through the settings, but still not in the pedal map screen (that still says the same as before where I have to put it into Sport mode). I can show photos if this is not making any sense. My worry is if I’ve damaged anything but it seems to drive fine now in both normal and sport mode. I couldn’t put my foot down this morning due to busy traffic but I just wondered if anyone else had this issue before? 2 hours of scrolling forums last night brought up no results. Car is totally standard engine wise but the way, although I have heard that a common issue is the turbo pipe at the top of the engine?
Any help appreciated.
