R888's ok on standard springs?

Will I be ok when I put the 888's on my standard 200 cup with regards to rubbing the arches etc?

Yep will be absolutely fine I had R888's on my R27 and was perfect!

If buying new there are better alterntives to the R888 for similar money. They aren't the be all and end all of track day/road tyres.

Toyo R1-R's are good tyres. I have a set on my 172. They're not as extreme as 888's but still great for track use as well as on the road. I get mine from Demon Tweeks.

you will be fine, Id look at the Federal 595 RS-R's very very similar in performance and cheap. Great tyre. As for standard springs you will have more body roll due to the increased grip levels.
