radiator size's - help please!!

  clio rsi turbo, phase 2
im having trouble keeping the temp down in the turbo beast, around town. im using the rsi rad on it at the moment, its def seen better days. as im looking at having to buy a new one anyway. does anyone know if the 16v or the williams rads are bigger in size?? if they are, i'll fit one of them instead.

cheers steven.

not sure about size but using 16v rad with my turbo with low temp thermostat and fan switch and have had no problems yet. also using a seperate oil cooler though

dont agree on low temp thermostat. no lots of people run them with no problems. and if you rads not good then just an oil cooler wont help much.

Low temp thermostats will damage the engine in the long run, reason they are their is to get the car to operating temp quickly by keeping the water closer to the engine, when it reaches ambient temp, thermostat opens and stays open (full engine cycle) until the car is shut off...

Williams rad is different i think, not sure if its bigger, dig round for you mate...

all they do is open 8 degrees earlier allow the water to cool slightly quicker. if you engine produces more heat then the water in and around the cylinders can still be the same as on a normal engine. maybe if you engine is standard but on a high output turbo lump to much heat will do so much more damage than running a few degrees cooler.
