radio controls help

Not the usual!!

I have a kenwood H/U with an adapter to make the vol controls etc on the steering wheel work. (172 cup 2002) Works nicely too Now, will this work in a 182? (2005) I've read it wont, but surely the wiring is the same as they are the same phase clio? I *think* the phase 2 clios use the canbus wiring method where as the ph1's dont?

I'm sure it will be the same I think its just the cneter screen which was different
