Radio problem question...

hey.

i got into my car this morning, and when i turned the engine on, the radio never came on. i scraped the windows, got back in and pushed the power button, and it asked me for the code. now, i have since entered the code and its working, but i have two questions.

1. why did it randomly ask me for the code?
2. after i entered the code, when i selected a radio station, a message would come up in place of the station name (COD Q998). what does this mean? (the message does not appear any more as i started the engine, and it has not appeared since).

sounds like your battery disconected???

never had that error code before...and ive had lots...

one time it told me the temperature was too warm?? wtf..?

and it turned off?

thats what the symptom suggests. but i have never disconnected the battery. parked up last night, and never went back out to the car until this morning.

might have just been the cold, fecking up things...

when its icy in the morning, my radio goes on a go-slow...takes ages
