Okay today i got my clio 16v induction kit from Hill power took me a while to put it on but finally manged to do it. It got dark so i wasnt able to attach the under bonnet scoop in time so ill have to finish it tomrow.

okay what i wanted to know is first of all does any else have this kit and if u do i was wondering does yours make a huge groaning noise, i mean huge or have i fitted something wrong it mainly gets really loud past 3 and half thousnad revs, its so loud that it feels like its sucking in the air filter instead air.

anyways looking foward to hear from u guys who have this kit.

My 172 sounds like a bloody TVR past 2500rpm with the Hill Power Induction on, although Im not sure there has been any performance increase. Will find out tomorrow as Im having it Rolling Roaded in Northampton.

geoff, at the Bury RR Day we had recently, the Hill Power stage 1 produced a decent power increase, cant remember how much it was, i seem to remember 144 at the wheels though, a standard 172 usually gets 130-135

Right thing is this - I got 131bhp @ the wheels from my last RR before all the work was done. The car feels slightly better to me but in a race with Mark the other night there was practically nothing in it to 100 when I seem to leave him standing. He got a slightly better start off of a roundabout going onto a dual carriageway but it was neck and neck.

His engine is 800 miles old and mine is 15000 miles. Although his engine was hand built as his old one failed and they needed to enlarge the inlet ports by hand, so this may mean his is kicking out more as standard? He is coming to the RR with me tomorrow so we will see!

The HP Induction I have on mine is not avaliable yet as it is a development kit.

Loud! Put it this way, I floored it in second yesterday and people a good 150 yards away turned around to see what was coming!

nev16v, I dont know how loud they are on the 172, but on the valva theyre loud enough to scare pedestrians into thinking theyre gonna be sucked off the pavement. If you floor it from low revs it makes a loud woosh followed by a deep rumbly sort of growl and as you pass 4500 it howls and screems all the way to 7000, i love it, absolutly amazing, with a Magnex exhaust youll sound like a touring car.

Get the under bumper scoop as well fitted on today and is amazming only for an extra £25.

so by ur reaction the rumbling noise on my induction kit is natural then.
