im sure youd need to be going pretty fast to create a ram effect.

looks good though.

in fact i believe it might gain 0.3 bhp with that

ive ordered on of those from ktec for my 1.4 16v clio, have been waiting 4 weeks for mine thos cus they r having to make the piping for it.

just wundering how difficult it is to fit, does it come with instructions?

and do you need any specific tools to get the old air box off, put the new kit on??

oh and does it give off a good sound?

will it make my de catted exhaust any louder?!

this was an e-mail i got back from k-tec , about ramcharger

Hello, the kit is quite straight forward to fit and we have not had any
problems with the kit on a car and the car does not run lean with it
fitted.
We have these in stock at the moment.

I hope this helps.

Surely the ram effect is irrelevant. Isnt it the fact that cold air is going directly into the filter and the airbox shields it from power-sapping engine bay heat?

RAMCHARGER IS ONLY THE NAME FFS!!!

Taken from k-tecs site:

"These ramcharger kits feature a high flow induction kit housed inside a carbon look shield. The shield prevents the air filter from being exposed to hot air from the engine which means only cold air from the front of the car is drawn into the engine. The colder the air entering the engine the more power the engine produces. The kits come with all fitting required as well as a chromed induction pipe, silicone inlet elbow and breather pipe where required."

no mention of a ram effect what-so-ever

yeah i think people take that part a little too seriously. NOt sure how good it is but, it doesnt make the engine run lean and sounds good. Looks good in engine bay and ultimately i think it would make an improvement over the standard air box.,
