random q`s

hi, am new to this site, me and the missus have just brought a mk1 16v 1.8, have got a few probs, but it was cheap so decided to tackle probs on driveway!!!!!!!!
1. the 2way sunroof doesnt work, so to save hassle, am gonna replace motor as i cant find the fuse listed anywhere in the haynes, any ideas on suppliers, prices ect
2. there is loads of slack on the steering, it is on 17`s and slammed, so i put this down to worn bushes, but was wonderin if clio`s are known for this problem?
3. we had to replace the engine mounts cos they were knackered, after hittin a bump on the motorway fully laden, they broke and the engine slumped fwd, since having these done we are goin through a stupid amount of fuel, but i cant see any broken fuel lines or owt, um help??
4. we got quoted £425 for a new manifold, am sure i have seen custom jobbies for less than that, again help??
5. it stalls when you put the clutch in approachin lights/junctions or just stopping, but gets a bit better the more you drive it, is always lumpy though, any ideas?????

i know i am askin a lot of you all, but am starting to think we may have brought a lemon, but its a lovely car so am tryin to keep it alive, rather than just callin the scrappy and kissin goodbye to the money, especially if its just gonna be a case of a tune up and replacin a few parts, my local garage isnt interested in lookin, cos its a clio, and cant really afford to take it further afield

Steering is a the steering column, the get play in the joint, they can be welded.

right, cheers, will have a look at prices to get that done, i take its not a specialist thing?

It's just above the pedals inside the car.

It can be welded whist in the car is the welder is good, taking it outt is the costly part. A new part is expensive and as I remember old for new at Renaults only but I could be wrong.

Forget fixing it IMO just seal the things shut.

Fuel injectors or the cold start injector sounds like its damaged. Get it sorted NOW.

Nope not much luck there supersprint did one a while back the WIlliams one also fits.

Clean the idle control valve.

More than likly they know the 1.8 reputation for working on.

cheers for that, now i have had a bit of feedback, am thinkin its already gonna be too much hassle/money, so off to the scrap yard in the sky it goes!!!!!!!!!!!
