Right... Basically my 172 is making a strange noise if I go for it in 3rd!
(haven't tried 4th 5th flat out)

So... The request, someone who knows what they are talking about (engine wise) can listen/watch a short clip that I can text/what's app.

Could be you manifold touching the subframe, caused by your dgbone bushes being old.

most vibration under hard acceleration is a misaligned or worn engine mount, so i'd be starting there
