Rapid indicator flash when indicating left?

I have a 2000' phase 1 172. When I indicate to turn left, the lights will flash far too quickly, yet when indicating right, it flashes and operates perfectly fine?

urgent help would be much appreciated!

As said above, you will have a left hand side bulb out

LOL knowing I have no defence. I feel I should offer a small explanation.

It started last night about 12:30am driving home an I just got out and went to bed without looking, then laying in bed this morning I made this thread.

In Andy's defence, there was a time when we didn't know until we found out/were told, that that is what normally happens.
