RDC through works firewall?

Want to be able to remote desktop onto my home pc, did this fine at my old job, meant surfing the net, personal emails etc all on my pc rather then works, moved jobs and it appears firewall at work blocks remote desktop connection, anyone know a way round this without installing anything on works pc?

I've tried RDC through IE, same problem, trys to connect but says theres a network problem, must use same port through IE as the RDC app does.

Ideas please!!!!

You need outbound access on port 3389.

If this is a company firewall.. then, you can't do anything apart from e-mail IT and make a request? :)

You could, but depending how strict your IT usage policy is, you could get into substantial amounts of trouble..

Your company may also have a proper application layer filter (like, ISA or something) so they'd be able to see what sort of traffic is being passed anyway.. (and probably block it)

Yea, so was I ;)
If it doesn't work by default, it is probably by design. :p
Or they could of just selected block all ports, And open ones what are needed.:)
Simply to stop Trojans/Virus/hackers.
So 'Technically' its not designed for Remote desktop :)

Or i could be wrong lol.

*Ask the IT 'Person' they might allow it*

There are a million scenario's here.. and, well, I've had a bad night what with ClioSport's database. :p
