Re Coding standard unit?

Is it possible to get the standard cd head unit from a 172 re coded?

The car has got a cassette deck in it as the previous owner put it in to use with ipod/mp3 player, got the standard unit with the car but no code, so need to know if i can re code it and put it back in.

Code should be in your handbook, inside front cover.

il have another look but had a look a few times now and cant see it!

Either that or phone the dealer and give them your VIN?

yeh ive asked at the dealer, they can get it but it takes a while and costs abit and they will only give you the code the original unit had, so for any reason if its a different unit to the one that it rolled out of the factory with then it wouldnt work!

It should be listed along with the code for your locking wheel nuts etc.

il have another look in abit i think, could have missed it but sure i checked everything!

well i found a code on a random bit of paper, think its the check list from when it left the factory or got to the dealer!

Hopefully that will work!
