Re-filling gearbox...

  172 cup
Changed the gearbox oil today.... the job was easy except when re-filling the oil; it seemed like it didnt want to go in and took ages, is this normal?

Secondly instead of putting the exact 3.1 litres in, only about 2.7l actually got in for various reasons, will this affect anything? I am planning on topping it up once iv got some more oil.

  182 inside
you won't get all 3.1 ltrs in unless the box ix completely dry. ie: new from factory. you should be okay. don't overfill the box

  Lots of Alfas
Try taking the breather pipe off helps displace the air in the box. Slowly pour it in until it pours out the fill hole, go for a drive and when you get back top it up anymore until it pours out the fill hole.

  RS RIP
is it really easy ? want to do this one soon.

Anybody got pics/instructions as to which /where oil goes in/comes out ?

piece of piss. If you can do the engine oil youl have no trouble with gearbox oil.

8mm drain plug on the bottom

then the butterfly plug on the side where you fill it up.

I have to change the oil in my gearbox after every trackday, so I invested in one of these.

Makes the job so much easier, but a bit pricey
