Re-fitting Alternator

whipped the old alternator off my 172 cup today but completely forgot to take note of how the belt was fitted, has anyone got a diagram of how they go on? i assume no special tools need? manage to snap the big live wire as i was undoing the nut but i think i can get away with stripping back the wire a bit and it should still be long enough.

i've snapped the ring connector as well, just went on halfords site to price one up and not sure what one to get.
