Re mapping Question

Remapping is just changing the program on the ECU (Chip) to a new one. This can be done by using a set map (something stored and generic...not specific to your car or engine mods -cheaper) or you can get live maps when your car is on the rollers and the map is specific to your car (these cost a lot more!)

Maybe resetting rev limit so you can use the engine more in each gear.

ah ok, is this not dangerous? i.e cause more engine wear? how much am i looking at to get it done? im assuming renault dont do it? any other bits required? what are the gains?

In fact i believe his woman has a Clio DCi that he got good gains from?
