Rear Beam?!

After bending my rear beam on a rally at the weekend in the new car, I now need to track down a new one, preferably straighter than my current one :dead:

Can anyone tell me which models, if any, share the same rear beam as the 182?

Does the 172 have the same beam? Does the 2.0ltr sport have the same beam, diesel models maybe????

Completely new to the Renault world so any help is greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone knows of a rear beam needing a new home then please get in touch - I have another rally on the 27th September so I need to get a move on!

Is anyone sure if there are any other models that use the same beam? Can't seem to get any 182 specific beams at the mo, plenty of other variants from different models though!

Will any other ones fit?

you can bolt all the bits onto a non RS axle from memory, the main skeleton is the same, but i think the rear ARB is skinnier

i might be 100% worng

Hokey doke, well I think I've got an ex-Clio Cup race car beam now, which is identical to the one I bent - strengthened and plated etc so it will be a straight swap!

Fingers crossed I can get it all sorted before the next event now!!

Hi Scott, any chance of posting up a picture of your cup racer beam (can be bent one) i'd be interested to see where they strengthen it.

im also interested in seeing a race car rear beam and front wishbones if possible im looking at the race car rear axle bushes as the look stronger

i managed to bend the rear beam on my ph1 sport and put a 182 beam on and its fine mate

No probs all, I'll get a few pics when I change it over. I think the plan is to straighten the old one out after and have it as a spare - can't be ard to put back. We'll probs weld up some of the gusetting as even the strengthened racer beam can still be bent.....trust me
