rear indicator flashing with side light

for some reason my rear indicator when it flashes it also flashes with the side light (however they alternate ie the sidelight flashes then the indicator)

does anyone have any idea why?

you need to clean the contacts on the rear light cluster.

such a common problem,
the contacts for the rear clusters all tend to corrode,
need to take them off, clean up all the connections,
that should sort it.
