Rear sidelight not working, but brake light does?

Strange... it's the left sidelight that doesn't work but when I press the brakes it lights up. Any ideas? All the other lights are fine.

Bad earth.

Check your earth points.

Have you checked the bulb?

Forgot to add they are LEDs mate. Where is the earth?

Check your main earth point behind the rear cluster. Probably loose and/or corroded.

does the cluster still use the OE plug? the retaining clips are very weak and it doesn't take many off/ons before they're tempremental

Can't seem to find the earthing bit... can anyone help?

The earting points on each side are both completely fine, now it lights up but VERY dimly... any other ideas anyone?

Might be having the MOT tomorrow so need this sorting! All connections are fine ie. not rusty and all there.
