rear silencer

Hi!

Im new in this forum and I drive a Clio 172 mk. 2, nice to meet you people.

I got one question about silencers:

Im about to adopt a SuperSprint rear silencer (Clio 172 model of course),

I also heard that changing the rear silencer on the Clio 172 from the original one (which supposed to be, according to who said that, the best there could be on the Clio 172) isnt giving any power increase , and infact just decreases the performance of the car.

Is it true? I dont care so much about the increase (just want the sound, but I dont want any decrease of performance..

supersprint are well designed and well tested items.

The rear box which is HUGE on teh 172 is the main restriction, the cat and centre section are mainly fine.

So changing it wont lose you any power, but from my independant tests gains of about 2-4 bhp are all your gonna get.
