Rear Suspension Collapsed - Help.

  Clio DCi 65
Driving home earlier and my car was thudding everytime i went over a small bump in the road, seemed fine on straights though.

Just gotten home and can see that my rear suspension on the driver's side has collapsed, the passenger side looks fine, but the drivers is ruined.

Can someone let me know what i'm going to need to get it all fixed up, and roughly how much i'm looking at spending on it to get it done.

It was lowered on a GMAX Suspension kit roughly a year ago.

It looks so good on the positive side of things lol..But needs to be fixed ASAP.

Pictures below showing damage.

From looking at those pics just looks like the spring has failed to me, if it's not broken anything thats all you'll need.

It's supposed to be on a 60mm drop, that means i'm going to need to find another 60mm spring yeah?

Tempted to buy the VMaxx Coilies Group Buy to replace it TBH.

What's that thing underneath the spring that appears to have been crushed?

broken spring. if you have the recite and was less tan 12 months ago id try to get them changed under warentee. most come with a 12month gareentee.

the bit thats crushed will be the rubber seat that will be fine with the new spring is fitted.

So basically, from what you people can see...It's just the spring that needs replacing?

So i need to find another 60mm drop spring and get that switched over, then it should be OK? How much is fitting going to be on this most likely?

get a set of new lowering springs and 2hours labour max for fitting.

changed mine at work in less than an hour

Ok then,

I'l find a new set of rear springs and get garage local to me to fit them.

Cheers for the info!

Thats impressive! Wouldn't drive it anymore and get a new set of springs.

Yeah, my brother's just gone travelling so switching my insurance onto his Corsa for the week till i can get it fixed ASAP.

Really tempted by Coilies to resolve the situation, but trying to clear some debts, so £300 + fitting doesn't sound to feasible, although i'm probably looking at £100+ inc fitting to get this sorted.

Damo, fit them yourself fella. Their piss easy to do. and wouldnt take more than 20min to do.

I'd rather not TBH, I'm an absolute r****d when it comes to stuff like this.

I'l just take them to a garage to get sorted, unless i can find someone on here to do it locally!
