Rear wiper removal - Am i doing it right?

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Right, i've bought the tool from Screwfix, and taken off the blade and the cover....

Looks like this at the moment, been tightening the long black bit, but its just not budging the wiper arm.... it just seems to slide out of place all the time!

Am i doing something wrong?

loosen nut???? just a guess mind not sure how nuts and bolts really work but im pretty sure the nut has to come off in order for the arm to :D

I tried doing it with the nut off, but it kept slipping aswell, so i put the nut back on it for some extra grip! Didn't happen!

unscrew the nut further so it holds the tool in place
and you need some plus gas/wd40 or similar on it

Nope, didn't work either!
you havnt been trying long enough!!!!!!

you cant expect it to just pop off in seconds.. go out there, look at it and the tool.. and use your initative to see what you can do to get it off.. and just done come back untill its off..

all you can do mate its one of them things once told how you do it thats about all the help that can be given

loosen the nut right to the end so the black point on the tool sit in it, tighten it till it creeks abit then loosen it an put it on a side ways angle, from vertical to horizantal, then do it again and it should slowly start to prize off, it will take some force tough as they are fastend on with tiger glue stuff.

Strap sum balls on son! pullers should pi$$ it, make sure the legs are down behind the wiper as far as poss, loosen nut till its on a few threads and tighten the pullers down, it should pop off well easy if your doing it right.

Youve gota stop them from turning though, so get someone to hold them still for you if you cant do it.

i know they are sometimes a tw@ to get off but i normally use mole grips hammer and screwdrivers so with a propper tool you should have it straight off!!!

Well if i take the nut off the arm that im tightening keeps sliding off when it gets too tight

why does it?the nut shouldnt be touching any part of the gear puller, its better getting a 3 armed 1,holds itself aligned then
