Recaro subframes

  Megane 225 F1
Thinking of getting some recaros but i cant find anywhere that sells subframes for recaro. Tried capital seating and unless im blind they arent on there. Any help?

Most likely dude. Otherwise you could just drill the sparco subframes to fit the Recaro side mounts.

I had the same problem. I'm pretty sure Recaro dont make car specific subframes.

You have a few options -

1. Use OMP clio subframes with standard Recaro side mounts. (£105 for the pair)

These don't lie completely straight and require spacers as i have just bought them for my Pole Positions!

2. Use Cobra clio subframes with standard Recaro side mounts. (£170 for the pair direct from Cobra)

You can get extra low or standard and i have had them on previous seats. They fit very well and have a tab on the inside so you can mount seatbelt pretensioner and a tab on the outside which you can bolt to the door sill for extra strength. Also come with runners!

3. Use standard clio runners with Clio specific Recaro side mounts.

The clio specific Recaro side mounts are noted in here as well as part numbers, etc...

Hope that helps!

Wicked cheers mate. Another question. Whats the difference between side mounts and subframes?

The Subframe is the metal base (seen in the ebay link in my post above). It is specially designed to fit the floorpan of a certain car.

Sidemounts attach the seats to the subframe. These are Recaro side mounts -

The majority of decent seats will be sidemounted as it gives better support and also allows you to change the angle at which the seat is sat.

Cheaper seats are base mounted and do not require side mounts. This Sparco base mount subframe bolts directly to the seat -

Oh so the subframe fits to the car floor and the side mounts fit the seat to the subframe. Really wish i could have fixed seats instead of reclining lol. One of each would be wicked but look naff wouldnt it?
