recommendations for glass cleaners

as above really i have been using autoglym fast glass but it isnt cleaning them properly and they are left with streaky lines going up and down the glass.

was thinking about using just normal windolene like but there must be something out there thats good

dont wanna be paying too much either being xmas and all

Try AG super resin polish on a german applicator .It'll take off any dirt and grease and leave the glass clean and smooth .

It's what most household glass cleaners contain ( acetic acid ) . Also some people swear by using newspaper and vinegar , but i think that harkens back to the day when newspaper print was lead based and that apparently was good for cleaning glass .

Worth a try though as old newspapers are free

Tbh i'm not sure why people spend a lot on glass products, newspaper is brilliant. the reason it works is that it is very abbrasive (so keep it away from the paintwork) rolled into a ball and used to dry the glass means that i hardly ever need to use my wipers.

i find the AG glass polish great, cleans well and leaves nice and shiny

can see the difference its making by looking at the your cloth after you've finished, especially on the rear window

Risk of streaking under the wipers.

I have used Megs #16 on my front screen with no ill effects. Rain X works better though.

I always use Rain X on the windscreen and front windows .. It's fantabulous !

I think rain x has to be my favourite, i have never ever tried waxing the glass, can you use somthing like dodo juice? i presume this would only be for the back windows then??

Can use any wax you like the more durable the better though so I would use Megs 16 or Collinitte. I do all the glass bar the front screen as that is running Rain X.

ok ive got some collinite will give it a go normally use rain x on front window when i can be arsed to buy it, has anyone tried the washer fluid? i bought some last time i went and i think its rubbish!! prefer the fluid tbh.

I've been using Car Lack glass cleaner and sealant, it's awesome! Really good!

I've just purchased some of that so will be testing out the goods next weekend.
