How do you record freeview from a TV with a built in box??

Cant get the video to recognise the Ext/ "Digital" mode... can only get usual 12345 on...

what am i missing or not doing, i believe all the scart leads to be present and correct...

The TV should normally have a scart connection which is capable of sending the signal out to the video. Check the TV manual for details relating to each scart connection.
