Red flashing engine light

Good fellow renault owners
I have a clio 2 2005 2lt and whilst I was driving the earth cable at the back of gear box snapped off, I have repaired it and now I have a stop light on and a red engine light flashing constantly and the car refuses to start, any suggestions on what the fault could be???

Are they two seperate lights, or an engine symbol with stop written in it?
