Refitting driveshaft??

I'm having troubble replacing my drivers driveshaft on my 182. The bracket is catching on the box so i cant get it straight enough for it to slide over the teeth?

Is there a technique to getting it back it?

Can anyone shed some light?

Your meant to take the shaft out of the bearing. Not the bearing off the engine. Bolt it back up and undo the two 13mm bolts and pull it out. It may be stuck though.

The shaft in the pic it the new one (2nd hand).
So i'll undo the other bolts and try it tomorrow.
