Refitting Headliner

I've retrimmed my headliner and I'm looking to refit it tomorrow.

There was a lot of tar on the roof, that I'm thinking might have lost its adhesion, what would you guys recommend to use to ensure the headliner doesn't drop down? Any particular glue that will work with fibreglass to metal?

Blobs of anything sticky will do the job. It's held in pretty well by the A, B and C pillar trims/grab handles etc anyway.

Lashings of Pritt Stick might do it.

Doesn't need anything. It should be fine. If you want sticky stuff anywhere it's on the front edge

I scraped all that kak off when i did mine, as said above, it does not need it
